Biography

Chief Operations Officer for Genworth Financial's U.S. Life businesses. In this capacity, Elena is

responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Service and Technology teams in Richmond

and Lynchburg, Va., Brentwood, Tenn., and San Rafael, Calif. These teams deliver service and

technology solutions to distributors, policy and contract holders, and beneficiaries of life insurance,

long term care insurance, linked benefits, annuities and senior supplemental insurance products from

the Genworth family of companies.

Elena joined GE in 1987 and served in various leadership roles in engineering, sourcing, Six Sigma and

operations in both GE and GE Financial Assurance. Following GE's IPO of Genworth (formerly GE

Financial Assurance) in 2004, Elena was promoted to Senior Vice President of Service in the U.S. Life

businesses and continues in an expanded role today.

Elena serves as a board member of the Genworth Foundation, Amazement Square - the Rightmire

Children's Museum in Lynchburg, VA., and the Greater Lynchburg chapter of Girls on the Run.

Elena received her MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and

her BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Union College.

Elena, her husband and their twins reside in Forest, VA.
