Lloyd Agnew

      Biography

Born and raised in Lynchburg. Attended Lynchburg public schools graduation from

E.C. Glass High School in 1973. Graduated from Lynchburg College in 1980 with a

BA Degree in American Studies.  Employed for 30 years by N.B. Handy Company, a

wholesale distributor to the commercial roofing industry and the HVAC industry.

Served in various capacities including management and sales. Currently serving as

Manufacturer's Representative-Commercial Roofing Sales for the western Virginia

market.  Married to Ellen Schall Agnew. Three children, Towns age 26, Katherine 17

and Annie 16.

Member of First Presbyterian Church. Served as Deacon and Elder.

Former member of the Presbytery of the Peaks division of Administration.

Past President of the Paul Munro Elementary School PTA

Founding member of the Central Virginia Wine Classic, a philanthropic organization that

has participated in fund raising events for local organizations including the former

Woman's Resource Center, New Vistas School, The Virginia School of the Arts and the

Academy of Fine Arts.  Interests and hobbies include bee keeping, bicycle riding,

deep sea fishing, cooking and, most importantly, all things wine.
