Our Agencies
Our agency programs are at the heart of the work that we do. United Way of Central Virginia supplies much of the needed financial resources agencies need to provide critical services to Central Virginia’s residents.
We support 58 health and human service programs at 30 agencies through an annual allocation process. All agencies are local and serve the residents of Central Virginia. These agencies are reviewed annually to ensure that donations are used in the most effective way possible and create measurable results in the lives of the people they serve. When you see the Partner Agency logo displayed, you know the organization is accountable and is effectively tackling the most critical issues that Central Virginians face today.
Programs may receive funding through the annual allocation process and designated gifts. Funds provided through the allocations process must be utilized as determined by United Way volunteers. Designated gifts may be used at the discretion of the agency.
