Student Day of Caring 2011

Information:

Student Day of Caring is a United Way sponsored initiative promoting student involvement in serving local health and human service nonprofits through volunteerism. Students from Central Virginia area colleges/universities assist local health and human service agencies by coordinating and completing community service projects. A self-governing committee of students determine the project or projects to be selected for the Student Day of Caring held each year. This is a student-managed community event to raise awareness and address specific needs in the community.

In March 2011, United Way of Central Virginia will be holding its second annual Student Day of Caring. Recruiting for committee members will begin at August/September of 2010.
