William (Billy) Hunt

Biography

A certified Public Accountant and a Partner with Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, serving the firm

in a variety of roles.  Billy is also formerly the Partner-in-Charge of CB&H's  Lynchburg

office. He is a former member of the Firm's Executive Board, and currently serves as the

Secretary to the Board. Prior to joining CB&H, Billy served as president and chief executive

officer of a wholesale distributor of paper products, and as a manager with a national CPA firm.

Graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in

Commerce. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)

and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA). Billy previously served on

the VSCPA's ethics committee, and as chairman of the VSCPA Education Foundation, secretary

treasurer of the Lynchburg Industrial Development Authority and president of the Lynchburg

Estate Planning Council.    Throughout his business career, Billy has been actively involved

with numerous civic boards, and is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the McIntire

School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
