2006 Campaign Highlights

Community Appreciation Breakfast
Thank you to everyone who attended the Community Appreciation Breakfast on March 14! We hope you enjoyed yourselves. You should be proud of your accomplishments in the 2006 Campaign! Your enthusiasm and dedication was truly inspiring and many thousands of people in our region will receive the help they need because of your generosity. A record 132 awards were given out this year in honor of the outstanding work of both companies and individual volunteers in the 2006 Campaign. You may refer to the event program for a list of award recipients. Again, thank you for all that you do to help meet the critical needs of children, youth, families, adults, and seniors in Central Virginia! Closing the Gap 2007
The United Way's 2006 campaign behind us, we feel fortunate to welcome 1,500 new donors, 15 new workplace campaigns, 37 new small business donors, and 7 new participating restaurants in the annual "Eat Out for United Way" event. We must nurture this growth in order to continue to make positive strides toward bridging the gap between what we raise every year and the actual needs in this community just amongst our Partner Agencies.
