United Way is changing lives each day. The funds
we raise support the people of Central Virginia and ensure the
future strength of our community. The lives of children, families,
older adults, and individuals with disabilities are improved because
of the work of United Way. With over 30% of the funds going to
child and youth programs, we are building our community’s
future.
Through safety-net programs, United Way gives people
the opportunity to get back on their feet and moving in the right
direction. Programs that build or maintain self-sufficiency create
a better life for those in need. And we are providing the tools
for people to reach their potential so they can feel the pride
and know that their future holds a promise of hope.
