Each year, United Way of Central Virginia coordinates the donation of materials and equipment valued well over $25,000. These donations come through a national non-profit called Gifts In Kind International and many area businesses that are updating older equipment. The materials are distributed to both United Way member and non-member agencies on both a request basis as well as first-come, first-served basis in some situations.

We encourage any business to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to support our community and receive tax advantages.* We require that any donated equipment is in good working condition and supplies be in good condition. We only accept computers that are less than four (4) years old to ensure compatibility with current software applications.
