VA cooperative extension publications that provide information on discipline, family problem-solving, health, nutrition, saving money, and a variety of other topics.
 
On-line Parent Center
Provides parenting tips, fun activities, and health and safety guidelines. Also has information about “free stuff” and special offers. You will be asked to sign up (membership is free), but you don’t have to be a member to browse the site.
 
Head Start and Early Head Start
Comprehensive child development programs which serve children from birth to age 5, pregnant women, and their families. They are child-focused programs and have the overall goal of increasing the school readiness of young children in low-income families.

Zero To Three (The National Center for Infants, Toddlers & Families)
A national non-profit charitable organization whose aim is to strengthen and support families, practitioners and communities to promote the healthy development of babies and toddlers.

A non-profit initiative committed to helping parents find the best information on locating quality child care and child care resources in their community.
 
National Child Care Information Center
A project of the Child Care Bureau, Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It is a national resource that links information and people to complement, enhance, and promote the child care delivery system.

The Educational Resources Information Center is an internet-based information service funded by the US Department of Education for parents, educators, and anyone interested in education.

I Am Your Child
Information on a variety of topics including development, parenting and other resources.
 
Parents as Teachers
A non-profit parent education and family support organization. Through a network of more than 2,600 local programs, more than 10,000 PAT trained and certified parent educators work with parents to provide them with parenting support and information on their developing child.
 
The Wonder Wise Parent
Designed for parents, grandparents, foster parents, stepparents, caregivers, teachers, and parent educators. It was created and is maintained by Dr. Charles A. Smith, extension specialist with Kansas State Research and Extension in the School of Family Studies and Human Services at Kansas State University.
